“I absolutely LOVE Azalea Lakes Veterinary Clinic!! The doctors and staff are THE BEST!! They take visits by appointment (so none of those long waits) & 24 hour emergency care!! My "fur baby", Layla, got into some candy with macadamia nuts while I was at work Monday. When I got home, I found a weak, drunk-looking dog who was barely walking--and when she did walk, her back legs didn't seem to work right (macadamia nuts cause a hind-end paralysis!! Who knew?!). Dr. Tony met me at the clinic (immediately) and had her assessed, treated, and us back on our way home in just over an hour!!! AN HOUR!! You can't get that kinda treatment at a "people" ER! And the price was unbelievable! Layla has recuperated COMPLETELY!! She was jumping and standing on her hind legs by lunch Tuesday!! I feel so comfortable knowing that I have them to back me up when I'm a "bad momma" & forget items out that can be harmful to her. They even called Tuesday to check on her!! “I love these doctors!! I wish I had known about them years ago. I have a very difficult 20 pound cat that was usually a terror at the vet but the first time I brought her in to Dr. Susie she was very calm and just lay there while Dr. Susie checked her out. I have a rescued Persian cat and a teacup poodle that have seen each of the doctors at Azalea and they love all of the ladies. The office staff is awesome, also. “When I got my first dog, a Lhasa Apso, I took her to Azalea Lakes for her first pet visit. Everyone there was so nice & knowledgeable. “During the hurricane my dog was in a horrible accident - had to have his tail removed...these people took him in - working under generator power ONLY - and did the surgery while housing lots of other dogs that were sheltered there from the storm...my vet refused to see me and had received his power on earlier this day - I NO LONGER use him, from now on Azalea Lake Veterinary Clinic will be my choice for all of my pets...THANKS!!!” – Melony W.

“I went to Dr. Susie for 3 years when I lived in Baton Rouge and she provided quality care to all 3 of my cats. I also saw other doctors there who were just as great. The staff there is super friendly and always willing to answer any questions. More than once, I talked to Dr. Susie herself when I had a question. When I moved to New Orleans, they were helpful and nice about helping me get established with a new vet.
